Alison Campbell

Clinical Research Associate

Alison joined IMARC in April 2010 from The Cleveland Clinic where she spent eight fruitful years assuming various roles.

Graduating from John Carroll University in 2002, Alison first secured a position at The Cleveland Clinic as an administrative assistant. With her interest in research, she was able to grow into other positions, leading to her promotion to a research coordinator while working in the Department of Bone Marrow Transplant/Leukemia and Lymphoma Programs. In her role, Alison was responsible for preparing data outcome review, quarterly management assessments, and trained and supervised a staff of 6 research assistants. In 2008, Alison moved to The Department of Hematologic Malignancies and Blood Disorders, continuing her role as a research coordinator. Here she acted as the primary study contact between investigators, research personnel, and CROs/pharmaceutical sponsors. Along with study maintenance, Alison was actively involved in study start-up activities, including preparing and negotiating research study budgets and contracts. Her research focused on phase I-III leukemia, lymphoma, and post bone marrow transplant drug trials.

With many years of experience in research coordination, Alison leveraged her competent skillset to transition to her monitoring role at IMARC. Alison monitors devices used in the treatment of thoracic and abdominal aneurysms, peripheral vascular disease, as well as in vitro diagnostic devices. Alison is very thorough in her preparation for site visits, understanding and appreciating that her time spent on site should be used to the maximum benefit to the study. She is a helpful team member, whether being part of site teams or study teams. At IMARC, Alison has put her growing experience to benefit by working with newer CRAs as they themselves learn to navigate the world of monitoring.

Alison has been a member of the Society of Clinical Research Associates since 2007 and became a Certified Clinical Research Professional in 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from John Carroll University (University Heights, OH).
