Brandy Chittester

Director of Clinical Monitoring Services

Brandy joined IMARC after serving two years as a Biomedical Project Engineer with BIOMEC (acquired by Greatbatch in 2007) performing pre-clinical research projects. Prior to that, she worked in the Nanoscale Orthopaedic Biomaterials Laboratory at Case Western Reserve University while pursuing her Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. Beginning as a mechanical engineer, Brandy’s interests gravitated toward the medical field, which led her to pursue graduate studies at CWRU.

Leveraging her diverse therapeutic background has enabled Brandy to contribute on studies that include: peripheral vascular disease, atrial fibrillation, thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, and middle ear effusion. She has also worked on novel technologies, such as a biomimetic polymer coating for central venous catheters, and a method for measuring mechanical properties of orthopedic materials on the nanoscale level.

Early in her tenure at IMARC, Brandy quickly advanced to Lead Monitor. Her strong working knowledge of regulations, ability to find solutions and talent not only to lead, but get things done, paved the way to her promotion as Director of Clinical Monitoring Services.

Brandy has earned CCRA credentials through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. She received her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Cincinnati.
