Shawn began working in clinical research in 2005 as a Clinical Research Coordinator at University Hospitals Case Medical Center. For nearly seven years, he coordinated a multitude of trials within the adolescent psychiatry department – both industry and NIH- sponsored. Shawn joined IMARC Research, Inc. in March of 2012 as a Clinical Research Associate. While at IMARC, Shawn has monitored device trials in various therapeutic areas, with much of his experience related to interventions for treating aortic aneurysms. He is also a part of IMARC’s physician-sponsored IDE team, monitoring studies where the physician holds the responsibilities of both the sponsor and investigator. In January of 2014, Shawn expanded his role at IMARC from Clinical Research Associate to Lead Clinical Research Trainer, where he focuses on providing training to both IMARC staff and clients. He oversees our new employee orientation program, and played an integral role in launching IMARC University. Shawn holds a BA in Psychology from Kent State University, and a Masters in Clinical Psychology from The University of Tulsa. He is also a member of the Society of Clinical Research Associates where he holds his certification (CCRP).
